CWWC- Entry seven

Hello, mellonanins! It’s Kiki! I just started school today, and it’s different, really different from homeschool. I guess, it’s bad to judge the first day, but I can’t help myself. Hopefully, it’ll work out. I mean it’s not bad it’s just- like I said- different. Ya know, what I mean?

Loren, I used these prompts:

I never stopped looking out the car window. New York, is so different from Illinois. In Illinois, I lived on a farm. Our Victorian house was the color of bananas and cream. The barn was a faded red, with all kinds of animals. I’m going to miss that place but I’m sure city life will be just as great. Hopefully.

We drove by an old water park and a boy was riding down it on his skateboard. I would be so scared to do something like that but getting out of your comfort zone is healthy; every once in awhile, I mean. It should be as easy as riding a horse, right?

Next, I saw kids walking on the sidewalk. They had hair every shade of rainbow. It was breathtaking. I rolled down the window and hollered, “I love your hair!”

They looked at my hair, face, cowgirl hat, and my shirt that was in the shape of Illinois that said, “Home”. They answered with a cruel laugh, “Thanks, yours is great too, when it doesn’t have animal poop in it!”

A bullet went through my lungs. I rolled up the window in shock. No ones ever been that rude to me in my entire life. How did they know I used to live on a farm? Do I look like a joke or something? Tears filled my eyes. They should’ve just threw me on bus that says, “Leave immediately” it would be better than watching them fade into the distance. I hate New York.

I hope you enjoyed this post! How’s your school year going, so far? Tell me in the comments down below!

CWWC- Entry six

Hello, mellonanins! It’s Kiki! We’re getting close to the end of CWWC. I’ll miss using my creativity to think of writing ideas but definitely not the four day deadlineπŸ˜‰

Loren, I used these prompts:

I’m going to do this. I’m going to do this. Don’t be afraid, you’ll be fine. What do you think are in those woods? Dragons? No….well, maybe. Just go! Fine, fine. Then I walked right past the sign. The sign that clearly reads: “Don’t go in the woods”. Usually, I obey and respect rules, but I have to see him. I have to see the black archer.

The person I’ve heard stories about since I was a kid. I don’t know why, but he fascinates me. My other friends were into clothes and shoes and I would be checking out every book I could find about him. They describe him as tall, ageless, swift, camouflaged, always hooded and carrying a quiver and a bow.

I suddenly heard a twig snap. I looked around but didn’t see anyone or thing. Growling came from a bush.

“Hello?” I asked.

A dog that looked like a wolf came out. Or maybe it’s the other way around.

“Are you lost, little guy?” I questioned.

“No, I’m not but you are. Whose side are you on?” The wolf or dog answered.

“Y-y-you can talk? Side what are you talking about?”

“It’s to risky”, he answered.

“Wait, what?!”

Then he pounced on me and knocked me to the ground. I started screaming and trying to kick his face. Once, my leg grew tired he started dragging me. By, now I was really screaming. Then, I heard a swish. I looked at the wolf and an arrow was stuck in his chest. Blood oozed out and he collapsed.

I looked up and saw, the man I’ve been wanting to see my whole life. The man I’ve studied about for countless hours. When I imagined meeting him, it would not be with blood on my legs, holes in my clothes, mud in my hair, and my whole body trembling.

“I don’t want you to find me yet”, I said.

He bent over an picked me up gently, and carried me even deeper into the woods.

Well, I hope you’ve enjoyed this post! Don’t forget to comment down below πŸ™‚

Ps: I think my favorite entry I’ve wrote so farπŸ˜„ Tell me if you agreeπŸ˜‚

CWWC- Entry four

Welcome back, mellonanins! It’s Kiki! I hope you’re having a nice weekπŸ™‚

Loren, I used these prompts:

Painting is incredibly peaceful and freeing. You can create whatever you want. You can let your imagination roam free! And then when you’re done, you have the satisfaction knowing you made something beautiful. That’s why, this is how I spend my free time. I truly do, recommend it.

As I was globbing on more black paint, I heard a knock on the door. I put the paintbrush behind my ear and answered. A white cake with pink frosting words was on the ground. “You’re so pretty”, is what it read. No, letter or person was present. I immediately texted my best friend, Dara to come over.

A second later, I was inviting her inside.

“So, what’s the urgent news?” Dara asked.

I grabbed the cake from the kitchen and showed her.

“This”, I replied.

She never spoke, never made a sound, but the look in her eyes told me exactly what was about to happen.

She suddenly burst out, “Ooh! It looks like you have an admirer! I wonder who it is?”

“I don’t know, but I’m going to find out”.

I hope you enjoyed! I know this isn’t my greatest entry. I felt like I had a mild case of writers block but I pulled through for the team! Hopefully, entry five will go better.

Ps: Thank you for 41 followers!

CWWC- Entry three

Suilad! It’s Kiki! Here’s entry three!

Loren, I used these prompts:

“Bricks have stories”, my Father used to say. “They’ve seen generations and generations. People doing good and bad. Births and deaths. Arguments and Apologies. Celebrations and mournings. They’ve seen it all; don’t underestimate them, Son”.

When I was young it made perfect sense but as I grew older ‘perfect’ turned into no. I want to understand but I just can’t. I mean, bricks? I could understand if he said trees. But seriously bricks? It’s just clay that been formed and dried. They don’t live or have feelings. Or do they?

I wish I knew the answer. I wish he was alive. But even when he was he wouldn’t answer me anyway. He would just say:

“One day, you’ll understand, Grayson”.

I’m anxious for that day to come. It could happen anytime and anywhere. I’m still a minor so it couldn’t happen now could it? All I know is that it’s breakfast and I’m craving donuts.

As I walked to the donut shop, fresh air filled my mind and cleared out my worries. My thoughts now revolved around: school, donuts, homecoming, Harper, ya know, all that good stuff.

I saw that the lights weren’t on for the donut shop but the door was wide open. My brain’s telling me to stay but my legs are saying the opposite. I gave it some thought and came to the conclusion that, looking in won’t hurt anybody. So, in I went. No lights we’re on except for one in the kitchen.

“Hello?” I asked. “Is anybody in here?”

I crept into the kitchen and saw a black writing on the white brick wall and book in the middle of the floor. The writing read: “Ask no questions and you’ll get no lies”.
I grabbed the book and opened it. On the first page there was a photograph of a log cabin and underneath writing. “I can always see you” is what it read. All the other pages were burned. You don’t think that what my Dad has been warning me about is happening now, do you? This isn’t good. This isn’t good at all. Then I heard a familiar voice, It was Harper’s.

“Grayson, what are you doing here?”

I hope you enjoyed!

Ps: I’ve updated my ‘about me’ page so it looks a little more professional πŸ˜‰

CWWC- Entry two

What’s up, everyone? It’s Kiki! I’m here again posting my CWWC entries! My goal is to do every entry and to do at least two prompts. Hopefully, I’ll succeed πŸ™‚ Even though school starts this month and stuff. Anyway, let’s get on to Entry 2!

Loren, I used these prompts:

“Don’t let it end like this. Tell them I said something”, were one of the last words that William Harlow spoke to his fiancΓ©, Evangeline.

“I will”, she said while trying to choke back the tears.

His rough hands went through the space between the bars and met hers. Then they both simultaneously closed their eyes and let their heads rest on the cold bars, taking in every moment with each other that they could, since it might be the last. And that’s how they stayed for a long time until a gruff man came in and said:

“Visiting hours are over. Especially for this, young man”.

She gripped Will’s hand tighter and stared into the man’s eyes. The man, seeing that she wasn’t letting go, had to use a lot of his might, to pull her away and force her out the door. The whole time they screamed each other’s names.

Outside was cold and dreary. The trees: dead or dying. She didn’t know what do at first, except sit there petrified and alone. Until, she remembered what Will told her to do about his family.

As she walked she thought about what could happen to him. Death? Execution? She tried not to cry but when she thought about the chains on his ankle and the heartless iron bars- she couldn’t help herself. They rolled and rolled. Then the cold wind would freeze them before they dripped off her chin.

Finally she arrived to their neighborhood, which was filled with old Victorian houses. Some were gray others brown and were all different sizes.

Her fist pounded on a cream-colored door. While, she was waiting she noticed she felt weird; her legs, unstable and her brain, racing. She felt incredibly weak and wanted to get inside immediately. So, she pounded on the door once more and then suddenly passed out.

Sorry, that it wasn’t as long as entry one. I hope you enjoyed it anyway, though!

Ps: Team Shire is so far in first place! Keep up the good work, Hobbits, Elves, and Dwarves!

CWWC- Entry one

Greetings! It’s KikiπŸ™‚

If you remember in my last post, I said that I signed up for CWWC but didn’t know what team I was on yet. Well, I’m on team Shire!

It fits my theme very well, don’t ya think?πŸ˜„ Anyway, I’ve written my entry, so let’s begin!

Loren I used these prompts:

I sighed as the bus left my neighborhood. I can’t believe Mom and Dad are doing this to me. This Summer is literally going to be the worst; no friends, no wifi, no Misty (my fluffy gray cat), nothing. Plus, Great-Aunt Claire is a total weirdo. Once, We hosted a surprise birthday party for her and invited all her high-school friends and she ran away. Literally ran away. Who knows why. When we asked she didn’t really answer. She just made excuses and went on tangents.

According to Mom, she has a beautiful estate so maybe that’s good? I don’t know. I just wish I could fall asleep and then when I wake up, I realized it was all just a silly dream. So, far that’s not happening but I’ll give it another go. The problem is there are noisy little kids behind me, but I closed my eyes and surprisingly drifted asleep. Next thing I knew, someone was calling my name.

“Miss Blanchard!” The bus diver called. “Miss Blanchard!”

“Uh, yes?” I asked feeling a little out of sorts and groggy.

“This is your stop,” He replied.

“Oh, I’m coming!”

As I was gathering my things, I noticed it was nearly sunset and that I was the only one on the bus. How long have I been asleep for? It felt like ages.

“Thank you,” I said to the driver.

“No problem. Have a good night.”

“You too,” I said while stepping down onto the pavement.

When I looked up a tall black iron gate was in front of me. I pressed a white button and soon was greeted in by a woman.

“Your Aunt is in the living room, Hon. Just go straight,” The woman instructed.

“Ok, thank you.”

As I went down the hall, the walls were decorated by framed embroidery and tapestries. The floor was covered in multi-color rugs. When I entered the room, an old lady sitting in a teal pin tucked chair, suddenly jumped up.

“Ah, Γ‰owyn! I’m so glad you’ve made it here safe! Oh, look how tall you’ve gotten! How are you?”

“Oh, um good, thank you and a you?”

“Never better since you’re here! Anyway, dinner will be finished soon so why don’t you unpack and get settled. Just follow me!”

I followed her up the stairs and into a decent-sized room next to the library.

“Well, here’s your room! I gave you this one cause it has such a beautiful view of the garden. The bathroom is your first left. And don’t forget, you’re always welcome into the library. Do you like to read, Γ‰owyn?”

“Thank you very much, Aunt Claire and Yes, I love to read.”

“I hope you’ll enjoy your stay. I’ll call you down when it’s dinner time and if you haven’t read it already; I highly recommend The Hobbit.”

“Ok, thanks!” I said trying to sound enthusiastic so she would leave.

When she stepped out of my room, a sigh of relief came out. Finally, she’s gone. For some reason, I just don’t feel comfortable around her. I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s like she’s hiding something. But maybe she’s fine, and I’m just an overthinking weirdo, who can’t accept that people can be nice.

After I unpacked, I peeked out the window and saw white flowers and statue. Wow, Aunt Claire was right, I do have a beautiful view! I’ll have to explore it tomorrow! Speaking of exploring; the library could use some.

I went in and saw shelves and shelves of glorious books. All different colors and sizes. It was magnificent. Then out of the corner of my eye, I saw a black book laying on a walnut-colored desk. I flipped it over and it read “Things I wanted to say but never did”. How odd. Suddenly I heard a distant voice:

“Γ‰owyn, dinner!” Aunt Claire called.

“Coming!” I replied.

I quickly took the book and put it on my bed. Maybe, I’m right, maybe she is hiding something…

Well, thank you for reading! Go Team Shire!
